Marilyn Michael, MA, LLP

Marilyn Michael has been a Psychologist for more than 20 years, working with diverse populations in various inpatient and outpatient settings. Currently, she works with adults (21+) both in-person and virtually. She views psychotherapy as a joint problem-solving effort within the context of an empathic and supportive therapeutic relationship. While her primary approach is cognitive behavioral, she also draws from other approaches such as interpersonal, psychodynamic, EFT (tapping), EMDR and mindfulness to provide an individualized plan of treatment for the client. Her areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress, self-esteem, and life transitions. Some of her goals of therapy include increasing self-awareness and understanding, strengthening coping skills and enhancing a sense of mastery to meet life challenges more effectively.

Marilyn works out of our Royal Oak office and only works with individual clients.
