Michelle Warren, LMSW
received her BA in psychology from the University of Dayton. She received her MSW from Eastern Michigan University and is a fully licensed social worker in the state of Michigan.
As a caring and compassionate clinical social worker, Michelle has been working with individuals, families, couples and groups for over 20 years in several different settings in the community. Michelle’s client centered approach to working with people incorporates a variety of clinical styles.
Michelle specializes in working with individuals with chronic illnesses (including cancer, as Michelle was the Program Director at Gilda’s Club for 14 years prior to joining RI), chronic pain, young adults, anxiety & depression, body image & self esteem issues, life transitions and wellness coaching, & couples. She also practices Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Brainspotting.
She has published writings and spoken on the topic of “Finding Peace in a Modern Day World”, as well as speaking in the community about family issues and chronic illness. She maintains a blog dedicated to finding peace in one’s life. She also uses her personal experience in distance running and yoga as an additional way to help clients utilize exercise and meditation, in addition to psychotherapy.
Michelle is also the Director of Women’s Programming at the Relationship Institute where she designs and facilitates experiential workshops that address the concerns of women in the 21st century.
