Facilitated by Michelle Warren, LMSW
Director of Women’s Programming
Next Workshop: January 13, 2018, 8:30 am – 12 noon
Join us for a wonderful experiential workshop to creating harmony, wellness and happiness in your life.
Mind – participants will learn simple and effective techniques to better manage the negative thoughts that so often keep people from truly realizing their full potential. (mindfulness techniques, and vision board as creative exercise)
Body – participants will learn the benefits of utilizing exercise as a supplement to live a balanced and peaceful life.
Spirit – participants will learn the various ways we can connect to our inner spirit, and the benefits in helping settle the mind, and body and how they’re all connected (will introduce meditation and guided imagery and the difference between the two)
Service – participants will begin to explore the reasons for giving back to the community. This is based on the “what you give to others is what you receive” concept.
Part of the workshop will discuss how to welcome service more fully into our lives. To honor this philosophy, Michelle will be collecting the following items to help the homeless & kids with special needs at neighboring schools:
- adult diapers (size small/medium)
- panties (adult packages size s/m/l)
These are VERY much in need, and as women who are attending this workshop, this is a way to help some of our community have some dignity in an otherwise difficult scenario if they don’t have access.
