Russell Mitchell, MA, LLPC, CADC
Russell earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and received his Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University.
Over the past several years his focus has been on family relationships, providing individual and family therapy for children, teens, and parents. This involved marriage counseling, including gay and lesbian marriage and relationships. Russell also has experience working with Eating Disorders in teens and adults; diagnosing and treating Autism Spectrum Disorder (in particular, High Functioning Autism). He has experience working with ADHD and ADD in children, teens and adults.
Russell is experienced in treating Depression in teens and adults; OCD in children, teens and adults; Transgender teens; and PTSD and sexual trauma in children, teens and adults. Areas of special interest and expertise include treating social anxiety, mastering anger management, and increasing self-esteem. Russell is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, with seven years of experience in the field of Alcohol and Substance Abuse counseling.
